Inquiry-Based Organizations

Helping organizations evolve towards excellence . . . from the inside.

  • Increase Appreciative Inquiry practices . . . simultaneously increase engagement and accountability.
  • Make continuous and relevant learning central to all organization activity . . . simultaneously move towards employee excellence and strategic outcomes.
  • Expand the capacity for multiple ways of knowing  . . . simultaneously turn chaos and conflict into new knowledge and innovation.
  • Increase the positivity ratio in your offices, hallways and break rooms . . . simultaneously broaden and build productivity and employee wellness.
  • Expand the capacity for all stakeholders to think and act together . . . simultaneously evolve towards sustainable growth.

Collaborative by Design helps people and organizations shift to an inquiry-based culture focusing on daily practices that result in positive relationships, positive environments, continuous learning and innovation, and the alignment of social and technical systems with strategic institutional outcomes.

What Makes Us Different?

  • We trust in the inherent capacity of your employees–all of them! Collectively, they know or can innovate best ways to achieve your strategic outcomes and organizational vision. Appreciative Inquiry practices will help them surface that knowledge.
  • We know every organization is unique and continuously changes; for you to achieve sustainable growth, you need the capacity to evolve from the inside as your organization and the world evolves.
  • We know the only way to implement new thinking is to actually put it into practice.  Our programs put theory into practice from the outset and provide support over time.
  • We know everyone is short on time. Individual lessons are brief and ideas that increase personal and organizational success are readily put into practice.
  • We know the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Our practices build collaborative capacity across the ecology of the organization: senior leadership, management, staff, shareholders, board members, customers, vendors, and communities.
